Well, that was fast! Demi Lovato’s brief break from the spotlight is over, and the 24-year-old pop star is back with a moving cover of a Christmas classic just in time for the holidays.
About two months ago, the “Confident” singer tweeted that she would be taking “a break from music and the spotlight,” claiming that she wasn’t “meant for this business and the media.”
So excited for 2017. Taking a break from music and the spotlight.. I am not meant for this business and the media

But luckily for us, it seems like Lovato could only deny what she was born to do for so long, because on Monday she released something new and fabulously timely: a moving rendition of “Silent Night” as part of the Honda Civic Tour Holiday Special. The video features Lovato sitting alone at a piano and completely slaying every bar of the classic hymn, complete with some seriously impressive vocal runs. All is certainly bright.

Watch Lovato nail “Silent Night” above and stay tuned for the rest of the Honda Civic Tour Holiday Special. Personally, we’re hoping for “Little Drummer Boy” duet with her tour mate Nick Jonas, but we’ll take what we can get.
